Designation
of origin Ribeiro.
Location of the vineyards: Located on the confluence of the
Miño and Avia River valleys.
The land: From acidic land and greyish-brown earth. The climate
is warm and damp with average temperatures ranging from 11º to
15º C.
The grape: The Treixadura is a local Galician grape (north-west
Spain) traditional from the area of Ribeiro. Its taste is reminiscent
of ripe apples. It has a floral and fruity character and is a grape
with a high quality yet a very small production rate. Its contribution
to the blends in the Ribeiro is reflected in intense and powerful
aromas with very original floral connotations of great personality,
as well as contributing greatly to the strength of the structure
and the persistence of the aftertaste, which is long and very satisfactory.
It combines perfectly with the Albariña, Torrontés,
Loureira and Godello grapes, which are local to the same region.
Serving: Due to their acidity, they are an excellent accompaniment
for fish and seafood dishes. Serving temperature 10º/12ºC.
